Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Portsmouth for a Support Worker. In this role, you will assist individuals with learning disabilities to live independently while promoting their well-being and personal development. Daily tasks include providing personalized support with activities of daily living, assisting with skill development, ensuring the safety of those you support, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.

You will actively collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications
  • Experience in providing support to individuals, including as a Support Worker, with a focus on promoting independence and well-being
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact empathetically and effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and processes to ensure the safety and protection of individuals
  • Basic technical skills to maintain accurate records and utilize digital tools where necessary
  • Ability to work on-site as part of a team and independently
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting individuals
  • Relevant qualifications in care or support services are preferred, though not essential
