Senior Support Worker – Supported Living (Portsmouth)

Sleep‑ins & On‑call Required

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £26,481 per annum

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Senior Support Worker to join our Supported Living team in Portsmouth. You’ll support adults with learning disabilities to live independently while also providing leadership and guidance to Support Workers.

What you’ll do

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred support in daily living, personal care, health, and community activities
• Lead and supervise Support Workers, including supporting training and inductions
• Complete audits, medication checks, and other operational tasks
• Deputise for the Supervisor when needed
• Support individuals with budgeting, appointments, social activities, and accessing work/education
• Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, and support plans
• Participate in rota duties, including sleep‑ins and on‑call

What you’ll need:

• NVQ Level 3 + in Health & Social Care
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and person‑focused
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
