We have a fantastic opportunity for an Imaging Manager to join our team at our Portsmouth Community Diagnostic Centre.
You will be working with a dedicated team of Senior Radiographers, Radiographers, Graduate Radiographers, HCAs, and administrative staff.
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the MRI, CT and X‑ray services and will be actively involved in rota planning, performance reviews, site/service meetings, audit, investigations and protocol optimisation and management.
You will support the Centre Manager in ensuring a high standard of service is delivered, maintained and that the service is CQC compliant.
Support the centre’s budget and performance targets, manage staff development, and work closely with key stakeholders within the CDC.
Main duties of the jobAs an Imaging Manager, you will support and develop a team of Radiographers, Clinical Assistants and Administrators to ensure the delivery of a quality service and the highest quality of patient care.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, Alliance Medical policies and procedures and work alongside key stakeholders within the CDC.
Manage the centre’s budget and performance targets.
Job responsibilities- Oversee MRI, CT and X‑ray service operations.
- Plan and manage staff rota, performance reviews and meetings.
- Lead quality assurance, audit and protocol optimisation.
- Maintain clinical governance, safety and radiation protection.
- Ensure financial management and cost‑effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement and business development initiatives.
- Manage change and support organisational compliance.
- Strong educational background in radiography or nuclear medicine.
- Relevant registrations and certifications.
- Additional leadership or specialist qualifications preferred.
- Excellent communication, organisational and clinical skills.
- Proficiency in IT and imaging systems.
- Understanding of regulatory standards and clinical governance.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in medical imaging.
- Experience in operations, leadership, financial oversight and customer relationships.
- Experienced in Medical Imaging.
