We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and organised Mental Health Practitioner who is keen on both working with children/young people with mental health needs and their families alongside a multi-disciplinary team.
We are a QNCC excellent Accredited CAMHS service who are looking for a dedicated professional that shares our Trust's values and is committed to working collaboratively as part of our Multi-Disciplinary Team delivering a high standard of patient-centred care.
We are a forward-thinking service, working hard to deliver clinical care pathways, using evidence-based practice to ensure a young person's journey through our service is accessible, timely and effective. We promote integrated working with education, social care, CPMS, inpatient care and various outside agencies to achieve better outcomes and transitions for young people and their families. You will be required to work independently.
You will adhere to professional guidelines and the code of conduct for your registered profession and in conjunction with safeguarding and Trust policies.
One of our key priorities is finding the right person who shares our values of patients first, working together, always improving; someone with the ability and attitude to grow and develop as a valued member of our team. We would be interested to hear from Allied Health Care Professionals, Creative Therapists, CBT Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Systemic Practitioners or Social Workers.
Mainduties of the job
Key tasks include:
- To exercise full responsibility and autonomy for assessments, formulation of systemic treatment, reviews and closing summaries and be accountable for professional actions and policies.
- To participate in the development of a high quality, responsive service for children, young people and their families/carers/friends where appropriate. This may include professionally advising and managing those aspects of the service where psychiatric and/or organizational issues need addressing.
- To be responsible for delivering specialist child and adolescent psychiatry in a way that is integrated with the work of other disciplines.
- To be responsible where appropriate, to liaise closely and integrate specialist child and adolescent psychiatry with the work of other agencies.
- To provide guidance and consultation to other professionals.
- To manage referrals and to assess the needs of the referred child or young person and to develop, implement and evaluate appropriate interventions.
If you are an enthusiastic professional with a passion for working with children, young people and their carers to improve mental health outcomes, have excellent communication skills, can work alongside a multitude of different disciplines with the client in the centre and you hold the relevant qualifications/ skills, we would be delighted to hear from you.
A Band 5 Nurse Development post will be considered for the right candidate. Interviews will be taking place on Thursday 19th February.
