• Strong experience in Dev Ops / Platform Engineering roles within enterprise or secure environments
• Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes and Docker
• Proven expertise in Bash / Linux / Python scripting
• Proven expertise in infrastructure automation and containerisation
• Experience working within Dev Sec Ops  practices including security scanning and compliance tooling
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of Dev Ops culture and modern engineering practices
• Experience supporting platform modernisation or legacy-to-modern migrations
• Desirable:
  Apache Kafka
• Desirable: AI/ML model integration within platform environments
• Desirable:
  Exposure to ITAR / defence / highly regulated systems
• Desirable:
  Experience operating in environments with multiple maturity levels across platforms
• Active SC Security Clearance required

We are seeking a Platform Engineer / Dev Ops Specialist to join a highly secure and complex engineering environment, supporting the modernisation and maturity uplift of critical platforms operating across both AWS and Azure. This is a 6-month+ contract role based in Portsmouth on a hybrid basis, with two days on site every other week and the remainder remote. The rate is £558 per day, inside IR35.

This is a hybrid engineering and leadership position with an approximate 60/40 split between hands‑on Dev Ops engineering and technical leadership, where we guide direction, lead platform evolution, and remain actively involved in delivery.
