Technical Director; Maritime

Position: Technical Director (Maritime)
Our client, a high profiling technology organisation, urgently require an experienced Technical Director to run a major Maritime programme that they are delivering.

In order to be successful, you will have the following background:

Background within either UK Military, or working with the Military/MoD as a customer

Experience of acting as a senior technical authority, providing architectural leadership
Enterprise Architecture background across software engineering and platform delivery, including cloud-hosted services, APIs, Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD and test automation

Experience of introducing emerging technologies including AI, ML and data enabled services
Strong and robust stakeholder management skills
SC Cleared

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

Senior leadership role within a multi-year delivery environment, supporting thousands of uniformed personnel and civil servants
Set the technical direction for the software house, ensuring digital products and services are aligned to MoD priorities and wider defence policy
Define and maintain technical architecture roadmap
Translate operational and business needs into coherent technical strategy
Ensure that platforms, products, data, integration patterns and engineering approaches support long-term mission outcomes as well as immediate delivery priorities
Provide technical leadership across complex code, low-code, data and platform services
Work with stakeholders across MoD organisations
Lead the approach surrounding modern engineering and emerging technologies
Provide governance, assurance and risk management across the delivery portfolio
Tech:
Python, Type Script, React, Docker, Kubernetes, Git Hub, Tekton and associated Dev Sec Ops  tool chains, Saas platforms, Microsoft Power Platform, Palantir Foundry
