Platform Engineer; DV

Platform Engineer (DV) - Contract - Hybrid working/Wiltshire - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Platform Engineer to work at a leading consultancy client on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will be working within a programme of digital transformation in the defence sector, supporting the delivery and engineering of secure, high-quality technology platforms and applications.

This role requires a technically strong engineer and the function of the role includes managing secure, complex environments and duties include patching, implementing security features, security administration and installing new device builds where required.

• Strong experience in platform and application engineering
• Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows environments
• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• A solid understanding of infrastructure, applications, and enterprise environments
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work effectively within a technical engineering team
• Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (DV).
