Position: Commercial Property/Real Estate Lawyer 2+ PQE

Commercial Property / Real Estate Lawyer - Portsmouth - 2+ Years PQE

Location: Portsmouth

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £45,000 to £75000 (depending on experience)

A well established Portsmouth law firm is seeking a Commercial Property & Real Estate Lawyer to join its busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor experienced in commercial property and real estate work to manage a varied caseload and contribute to a supportive, professional, and client focused environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for handling a broad range of commercial property and real estate matters, including:

  • Investigating and deducing title
  • Carrying out relevant property searches
  • Applying for Official Copies and associated documents
  • Drafting, approving, and negotiating business leases and related documentation
  • Drafting, approving, and negotiating property contracts, transfers, and other transactional documents
  • Preparing lease reports and reports on title
  • Managing exchange and completion of transactions
  • Handling all post completion matters
  • Providing corporate support on share and asset sales
  • Advising on property financing, acquisitions, and disposals of freehold and leasehold real estate
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in commercial property and real estate work (PQE level flexible)
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial transactions
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Confidence managing matters independently
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
  • A proactive, motivated, and client focused approach
