Defence Service Technician

Overview

The Defence Diving Technician is responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and certification of military underwater breathing apparatus in support of the Defence Diving Product Line, ensuring equipment is maintained to approved standards, technical procedures, and regulatory requirements for safe operational use by Defence diving personnel.

• Carry out repair, recalibration and testing work in compliance with work order instructions and in accordance with requisite quality system standards.
• Conduct and record service and repair work on MoD contracts as required.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety and quality assurance policies, processes, and procedures to keep people and equipment safe.

• Ability to apply recognised mechanical repair instructions to complete equipment maintenance.
• Working knowledge of MoD documentation, including BRs and defect reporting.
• Recognised technical maintenance qualification with proven mechanical maintenance aptitude.
• Flexible working approach and willingness to travel to other MoD sites and occasional foreign travel.
• Ability to pass the appropriate security clearance to operate effectively.
