Job Title: Subcontractor Coordinator

Location: HM Naval Base, Portsmouth (HMNBP)

Service Area: Service Delivery

Hours of Work: 37 per week

Salary: £35,000 – £37,000

You’ll manage planned and reactive sub‑contracted maintenance, including overseeing contractors on site and reviewing their RAMS and safe systems of work. You’ll also handle daily administration and ensure effective delivery of work by both the team and sub‑contractors.

Whilst ensuring the requirements are met by our vendors, you’ll be enforcing the use of our company processes, ensuring compliance and statutory requirements are adhered to. Management of the delivery of all works to the agreed customer completion dates, whilst ensuring KPI’s and SLAs achievement. Additionally, you’ll proactively liaise and support Supply Chain and Commercial teams to assist the negotiation of terms and costings with suppliers for smaller works ensuring value for money is being demonstrated.

Working knowledge and experiences of sub‑contractor management, across varied and wide-ranging trading environments and be fully conversant with Control of Contractors processes.

SMSTS (Site Manager Safety Training Course) Certification would be highly advantageous, along with IOSH Managing Safely and strong customer facing experience.

You’ll be a strong communicator who stays calm under pressure. You’re self‑motivated, focused on delivering great operational results, and always looking for ways to improve on processes whilst searching for cost efficiency.
