Permanent | Monday - Thursday, 06:30 - 16:00

ATech is recruiting for a reputable manufacturing client in Portsmouth who is looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join their production team. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for someone with mechanical skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

• Read and work from engineering drawings and follow work instructions accurately
• Assemble components using hand tools and thread cutting techniques
• Use STTE (Specialised Tooling and Test Equipment) to complete assembly tasks
• Maintain attention to detail and quality standards at all times
• Work collaboratively in a team or independently as required
• Stand for long periods during shifts

• Good grasp of English (written and verbal)
• IT skills, particularly MS Office
• Experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments
• Ability to follow instructions and work from technical drawings
• Dexterity and attention to detail
• Flexible, self‑motivated, and enthusiastic approach

• Full driving license
• FL license
• Experience with small arms assembly
• Experience with panto graph/laser engraving, fly press, pillar drill, or linishing
• Fault finding and basic engineering knowledge
