Tool Hanger

Job Description:

V3 are recruiting for a Tool hanger to work within a manufacturing company based in Portsmouth.

double days shifts 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm rotating.

£17.30 per hour

Overall Purpose Of Job

To prepare and load Injection Moulding tools for production

Responsibilities:

● To safely prepare tools  locate, load, connect - for handover to the Setters

● To assist production in any tooling/moulding machine related matters as necessary

● To collect and return tooling to storage areas and update our system to show correct location

● Keep tooling, presses and ancillary areas clean, tidy and organised in accordance with 5S methodology

● Operate Moulding machines as required

● Be flexible working between Cosham and Voyager Park to cover absence

● Able to enter accurately data onto our system for mouldings produced and scrapped

● Ensure the mouldings produced are to the quality standard required

● Adhere and follow the work instructions

● To learn Materials to be able to act as a stand in for, or assist, the Materials Handlers when required

● Any other reasonable task as specified by the Moulding Dept. Manager or Setting Supervisor

Competencies

● Flexible, dynamic, motivated, and independent

● Effective time management skills working with tight timescales to meet production / manufacturing needs

Experience

● Forklift, reach truck, WNA, counterbalance (desirable/advantageous)

● Overhead crane licence (requirement)

● PC literate  MS Office/Javelin (preferred, but will be trained if necessary)

● Strong numeracy and literacy skills

● Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment
