Joinery Workshop Operative

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Salary: £15-£17/hour (£31,200-£35,360 salary eqv) About the Company Our client is a growing bespoke joinery manufacturer, producing high-quality custom-made products for a range of commercial and residential projects. Operating from a modern, fully equipped workshop, they work with a variety of materials including hardwoods, softwoods, MDF, laminates, and veneers to create exceptional finished products. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Joinery Workshop Operative to join their friendly and experienced team.
The Role This is a hands-on workshop position where you'll be involved in all stages of the manufacturing process, from machining and assembly through to finishing and quality inspection. Working within a large workshop environment, you'll help produce bespoke joinery products to the highest standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities Assembling bespoke joinery products from technical drawings and specifications Sanding, finishing, and preparing products for dispatch Carrying out quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained Handling and preparing materials including MDF, laminates, hardwoods, and veneers Using hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment Working to production schedules and meeting agreed deadlines Following all health & safety procedures and company policies What We're Looking For Previous experience within a joinery, woodworking, manufacturing, or workshop environment Confidence using power tools, and hand tools Ability to read and work from drawings or job sheets Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team Good understanding of workshop health & safety practices What's on Offer Competitive salary based on experience Monday to Friday working pattern with no weekend work Potential for Permanent, stable employment with a growing business Friendly and supportive team environment Opportunity to develop your skills and progress within the company Modern workshop with a wide range of machinery and equipment
