The Emergency SDEC team are looking for experienced registered nurses to join our team.
We are looking for positive, resilient, compassionate and enthusiastic nurses who have a thirst for learning and developing their skills and knowledge within minor skills. We will support you to develop skills such as triage, suturing and plastering.
Main duties of the jobYou will work closely with Emergency Nurse Practitioners to ensure that patients pathway through both the Emergency Care Centre and Urgent Treatment Centre Gosport is safe, efficient and within a timely manner.
You must have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, have good written and verbal communication skills, and enjoy working in constantly and rapidly changing environments. It is essential that you are able to work across both units.

Job responsibilitiesYou will be required to:
- Ensuring high quality nursing care is coordinated and delivered using a family focused model of practice.
- Work as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team ensuring patient care is delivered smoothly and efficiently.
- The expectations within this job description will be achieved through hands‑on clinical practice, education and training and research.

Person Specification Qualifications- Current RN +/- RN, registration with NMC and any other relevant post registration qualifications
- BSc Degree in relevant field
- Managing resources and contributing to departmental budget
- Evidence of developing policy, guidelines and managing resources
- An awareness of research and evidence based practice relevant to clinical area
- Computer literate, knowledge of patient administration system
- Clinically competent at Band 5 with minimum of 6 months experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Teaching and mentoring skills
- Ability to prioritise workload, instruct and direct others
- Organisational skills and able to work as part of a team
- Able to support development of others
- Articulate and knowledgeable of current professional nursing issues
- Health promotion
- Ability to adapt to change within working situation
- Intravenous Therapy Skills
- Competent in streaming, plastering and suturing.
