Research Assistant XTRUST-6G Casual – University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth, England, United Kingdom.

Full-time on-site position, salary £14.16 – £16.19 per hour. Contractual hours: 10, basis:
Casual. Job reference: REC.

• Work closely with Principal Investigator, Professor Stavros Shiaeles, and support delivery of research and technical activities.
• Collect, organise and manage research data from experiments, simulations, testbeds and other sources.
• Analyse data using statistical, computational and machine-learning methods and present findings clearly and accurately.
• Contribute to preparation of high-quality research papers, technical reports, project deliverables, presentations and other academic outputs.
• Conduct literature reviews, identify research gaps, document methodologies, interpret results and support publication submissions.
• Design, develop, test and maintain software tools, scripts, prototypes and experimental programs (e.g. data-processing tools, cybersecurity applications, network experiments, AI models, automation scripts, research demonstrators) relevant to the XTRUST-6G project.
• Support development of research proposals, background research, technical writing, work-package design, methodology development, impact planning, budgeting information and preparation of supporting documentation.
