Position for Sales Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales executive to join our close‑knit team at CJS Portsmouth, the largest cleaning and hygiene distributor across the South Coast.

The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving customer acquisition targets and revenue growth objectives. The role requires a comfortable number of face‑to‑face calls per day, working with manufacturers, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

• Identify and generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and referrals; enter quotes and update administration.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions and competitors to position our products effectively.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Computer skills essential with knowledge of Navision or Business Central an advantage.
• Ability to build rapport and establish long‑term relationships with clients.
• Self‑motivated with a results‑driven mindset.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
