As a technically driven, market leader in the provision of agronomy advice across the UK, Hutchinsons are looking to strengthen our technical team with a Technical Manager, specialising in cereal disease management. We’re looking for a highly knowledgeable individual with strong agronomic expertise in cereal crops, who is solution focused, delivering technical excellence and has exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and delivery of our technical cereal disease management strategy.
- Work with key internal stakeholders to drive innovation and practical solutions in cereal disease management.
- Maintain and build on our strong relationships with suppliers, research bodies and industry partners, ensuring Hutchinsons remain at the forefront of new disease management solutions.
- Provide technical support and be an active member of the wider technical team, sharing your knowledge and supporting wider team activities.
- Oversee the development of disease management trials and fungicide programmes.
- Represent Hutchinsons at events; gathering industry updates and insights to share with the team and where relevant deliver high quality presentations.
- Produce content for industry media and publications.
- Strong practical cereal agronomy and disease management background
- Technically driven with an enquiring mind, thirst for knowledge and ready to challenge thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills; engaging with wide range of audiences and stakeholders

This role offers opportunities to influence strategy, shape innovation and support growers across the UK with exposure across the whole of the business, alongside wider influential industry bodies and individuals.
