We're working with a highly specialist business based in the Portsmouth area that is looking to add a Sales Development Representative / Lead Generator to its growing team.
 
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of identifying potential customers, having meaningful conversations, and turning those conversations into genuine sales opportunities. You'll be joining a specialist organisation with a strong reputation in its market, offering a valuable and highly focused service to its customers.

The Role
As a Lead Generator / SDR, Sales Development Representative you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective customers, developing relationships and generating qualified opportunities for the wider sales team.
 
You'll be confident speaking to people at all levels, comfortable making outbound calls and, importantly, able to have a conversation rather than simply working from a script.
 
As a SDR - Sales Development Representative / Lead Generator
 
Identifying and researching potential new customers
Making outbound calls and proactively developing new business opportunities
Engaging with prospects to understand their requirements and establish genuine interest
Qualifying leads and arranging appointments for the sales team
Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective customers
Following up on enquiries and opportunities
Keeping accurate records of activity and updating the CRM
Working closely with the wider sales team to maximise opportunities
Consistently working towards and achieving agreed targets   
About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, motivated and genuinely enjoys sales.
You don't necessarily need years of experience, but you will need the confidence and resilience to pick up the phone, speak to new people and keep going when you don't immediately get a positive response.
 
Ideally, you'll have experience in an SDR, B2B sales, telesales, lead generation or business development role. More importantly, you'll have the right attitude, communication skills and desire to succeed.
 
You'll be:
