Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• A Security Officer must prevent and deter unauthorized access
  , monitor alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV
  , and conduct internal and external security patrols as per Assignment Instructions
  . They are responsible for carrying out security checks and reporting findings
  , managing keys in compliance with Assignment Instructions
  , and responding to security incidents and alarms promptly. Additionally, they must maintain accurate records and logs as required to ensure operational integrity.

A Security Officer must provide support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors
, ensuring safety and security procedures are followed at all times. They should report and manage incidents, faults, and hazards
, and respond to emergencies while liaising with emergency services
. Responsibilities also include maintaining and testing fire alarms and equipment and investigating causes of fire alarm activations to ensure compliance and safety.

What we’re looking for:

• Must be working towards acquiring a valid SIA Licence.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be over 18.

A candidate must have a five-year checkable employment history or provide documentary evidence for any gaps, with no current criminal convictions
. A full UK driving licence and own transport is desirable. They should demonstrate the ability to uphold Securitas core values:

• Prior experience as a Security Officer in the security industry.
