  • This position involves the provision of an array of training, support and AOL's services conducted within the community setting. Support specialists are responsible for all client-related documentation and reports as well as the development and implementation of treatment goals and objectives. Support specialists are required to provide their own transportation but are reimbursed monthly stipend for the use of their vehicles.

    The remaining time will be utilized for service coordination and administrative duties. Position reports directly to Clinical Supervisor. You must maintain a mobile telephone and a DMV license.

1. Participates in the service plan within the initial thirty-day period

2. Participates in initial assessment of client/family situations and ongoing monthly reports

3. Monitor length of client services and notify referral sources prior to the completion of ninety-day period to determine if continuation is necessary

4. Have weekly contact with the Referring Agency

5. Arrange for monthly case supervision with clinical supervisor

6. Act as the liaison between family, referring agencies, and other community organizations

7. Coordinate client services between various agencies

8. Maintain case records and document services rendered

9. Attend staff meetings consistently. Prior approval from management team is required when absent

10. Maintain high degree of client confidentiality

11. Prior to the end of each ninety-day service period, coordinate and facilitate staffing for the

client, inviting the family of the client, the Referral Source, representation from other pertinent agencies providing services and supervision

12. Maintain a high degree of professionalism in the community, with clients, and with referring

agencies seeking to build and maintain positive relationships

13. Work with other staff assigned to cases, communicating effectively

14. Provide Crisis Intervention as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of one year experience with a related degree (human services) or three years’ experience with an unrelated degree and 15 credits in Human Services courses.
