Your new role

As a Support Advisor within our new Support Hub, you will play a vital role in helping children, young people and families access timely support before challenges escalate. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide advice, guidance and practical support to both families and professionals, helping to create a joined-up and accessible pathway to services.

You will act as a key point of contact within the Hub, supporting conversations with families to identify strengths and needs, signposting to appropriate services and ensuring support remains effective through ongoing follow-up. You will also work closely with schools, Family Help services, MASH and other partner agencies to coordinate Family Support Plans, strengthen professional networks and promote early intervention.

This role involves:

• Providing advice, guidance and signposting to families and professionals.
• Supporting the coordination and monitoring of Support Hub referrals and workflows.
• Working collaboratively with education, health, social care and community partners.
• Helping professionals develop and coordinate Family Support Plans.
• Supporting the transition of families from Family Help services into wider community support networks.
• Using data and insights to inform decision-making and record outcomes.
• Developing local knowledge and partnerships through attendance at locality network meetings.
• Contributing to a strengths-based, relational and restorative approach to supporting families.

You'll be someone who is passionate about helping others, skilled at building positive relationships, and confident working across a multi-agency environment to deliver effective early help and support.

Who is the person summary:

We're seeking a compassionate, proactive and experienced professional with a strong background in working with children, young people and families. You'll have a sound understanding of early help, safeguarding and thresholds of need, alongside experience of supporting families, coordinating services and working within multi-agency environments.

You'll be confident building positive relationships, having strengths-based and restorative conversations, and providing advice and guidance to both families and professionals. The successful candidate will be organised, able to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and make informed decisions, including recognising when concerns need escalating.

With excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous learning, you'll be passionate about achieving positive outcomes for families while promoting equality, inclusion and high professional standards. Experience of safeguarding practice, family support planning, case management systems and handling sensitive information is essential.
