Public Transport Bus Driver

Cumberland Council

Cumberland Council is looking for a friendly and professional Public Transport Bus Drivers to help connect communities across the county. In this important role, you’ll provide a safe, reliable and inclusive transport service, helping residents access employment, education, healthcare and local services. You’ll operate bus services to agreed routes and timetables, carry out vehicle safety checks, assist passengers including elderly and vulnerable customers, operate ticketing systems, and deliver excellent customer service while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.

A variety of full-time fixed term and zero hour contracts are available.

We’re looking for someone with a Category D (PSV) licence, a valid Driver CPC (or willingness to work towards it), and strong customer service and communication skills. Experience with in passenger transport and a safety-focused approach are essential, along with the flexibility to work shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
