Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing payment of properly authorized and documented liabilities in accordance with company policy. Acts as the liaison between the property and vendors.

Shift Available:

* Day

Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* None

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensure all disbursements are adequately documented, supported, approved and coded.

* Reviews invoices, bills, or other documentation for corrections before the initiation of processing activities. This includes reconciling invoice to proof of receipt, questioning/validating data provided, gathering additional information, requesting clarification/backup documentation, correcting inaccuracies and/or addressing other needs or issues.

* Reconcile accounts payable detail to the general ledger and assists in the reconciliation of applicable general ledger accounts monthly.

* Reconcile vendor statements with accounts payable records. This should include questioning and validating information provided, and working with purchasing, receiving, and other departments, as necessary.

* Maintains historical payable, vendor, financial, and statistical data.

* Review, analyze and audit data to ensure compliance with Virginia sales tax regulations.

Minimum

Education and Experience Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED is required, or a minimum of three to five years of directly related accounts payable experience.

* Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

* Experience with UKG/Ultipro systems is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization and team members.

* Exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to quality and details, and the ability to maintain organization and meet deadlines.

* Strong analytical and cognitive abilities, including the capacity to analyze data, understand trends, identify potential problems areas and develop recommendations for action.

* Strong math skills and demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:

* Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery.

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

* Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.

* Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
