We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our premier CT Surgery team. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice at the top of your profession in a highly collaborative environment dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

• Schedule:
  
  Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Call: 1:2 rotation
• Practice Setting:
  Hospital‑based and outpatient
• Patient Population:
  Adults (18+), mix of inpatient and outpatient
• Average Caseload:
  • Outpatient: 1‑5 patients/day
  • Inpatient: 5‑10 patients/day
• EMR:
  Epic (inpatient and outpatient)

• Provide comprehensive care to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in the OR, ICU, and outpatient clinic settings.
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) for CABG procedures.
• Assist in surgical cases, manage pre‑ and post‑operative care, and coordinate follow‑up with patients and families.
• Collaborate closely with the attending surgeon, fellow PAs, nursing staff, and the broader care team to ensure seamless, high‑quality patient care.
• Participate in call rotation and maintain readiness for emergent cases as required.

• Required Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA in Cardiothoracic Surgery, including proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting.
• Training:
  Demonstrated competence in OR and ICU procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
• Proven ability to deliver compassionate, efficient, and thorough patient care.
• Current NCCPA certification and Virginia PA license (or eligibility).
