Colon and Rectal Surgeon at Bon Secours Mercy Health – Portsmouth, VA

Bon Secours in the beautiful, coastal Hampton Roads region of Virginia is seeking a Board Certified and Experienced colorectal surgeon to join our team.

Full‑time practice encompassing 50% outpatient, 50% inpatient, surgery, and consultations. 1:1 clinical support from Colorectal LPN, Oncology Navigator, Surgery Scheduler, Practice Administrator, RN and Patient Service Reps. Practice Hours M‑F 8a‑4p, no weekends but call required.

Average 15‑20 patients per clinic day. 1:4 Call shared with general surgery—1 weekday per week and 1 weekend per month. 7 calls required per month. 2 hospital call coverage. EPIC EMR, DAX/Co‑Pilot A/I charting available. Telemedicine as needed via MyChart. Procto Tables and DV5 Robot.

Procedures:
Colonoscopies, colon resections, hemorrhoidectomy, fistula surgery, proctectomy.

• MD or DO, U.S. General Surgery Residency and Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship, ABMS Board Certified.
• 2‑3 years of experience highly preferred. Mentor available.
• BLS, ACLS.
• Active and unrestricted Virginia medical license and DEA license, or ability to secure prior to hire.
• Minimally invasive and robotic experience preferred.
• Authorized to work anywhere in the U.S.
