Role Description

This full-time, on-site Teacher (K-6) role is based in Portsmouth, VA. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and standards-aligned lessons to elementary students, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting academic and social‑emotional growth. Additional responsibilities include assessing student learning, collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student development, and maintaining classroom management to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in lesson planning, teaching, and education to design and deliver effective, engaging lessons that meet educational standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• Experience in training and development to support student learning and growth.
• A valid state teaching license.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is required; advanced degree is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Proficiency in classroom management and the integration of technology in education.
