Epsilon Systems is seeking a full time Chief Engineer for Portsmouth, VA.

Reports to the Technical Director. Responsible for leading technical engineering efforts in support of various Modernization Programs.

• Apply and develop highly advanced technical technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts.
• Be the spokesperson on technical capabilities and future directions.
• Design the research for and the development of highly advanced new technological applications.
• Possess sufficient writing and communication skills to prepare and present reports, papers, proposals, briefings and other documentation pertinent to the position.
• Lead technical personnel and activities for large programs or groups of programs.

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Discipline from an accredited college or university, and a Masters Degree in an Engineering or Management Discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Ten or more (10+) years experience and proven practical knowledge of engineering applications in maritime vessels.
• Ten or more (10+) years' experience in oversight of a team of 10 or more engineers.
• Experience managing engineering projects involving maintenance, repair, testing, product improvement, or alteration of naval ship Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Ordnance equipment and systems.
• Minimum ten (10) years of working experience in engineering projects involved in design, test, repair, and maintenance or operation of Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Ordnance equipment Systems and equipment.

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.
• Prolonged sitting and use of computer, (typing, keyboarding)
• Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Occasional lifting up to 20+ pounds.
• See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
• Noise conditions range from very quiet to noise levels above 85db.
