Job Summary
Supervises all activities related to the day‑to‑day operational activities of the slot department including slot services and the installation, maintenance, and repair of slot equipment on the casino floor.
Supervisory Responsibilities- Yes. Will work in conjunction with the Slot Technical Manager and oversee the Slot Technical Team.
- Supervises the performance of maintenance and repair of slot machines, slot machine parts, and other gaming related equipment.
- Responsible for installation, movement, and removal of gaming related equipment.
- Perform all types of diagnostics and repairs to correct mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures to the board level.
- Read and identify components within schematics.
- Operate hand tools, soldering equipment, electrical test equipment, and other equipment as needed.
- Perform slot machine RAM clears/key chip and set‑up of options as needed.
- Respond to repair and troubleshooting requests from slot operations and other departments
- Communicates and coordinates activities with various departments, state agencies, and vendors.
- Maintains a constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered by Rivers Casino Portsmouth and informs guests.
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure full compliance of state or internal regulations.
- Maintains proper gaming logs in order to comply with state or internal regulations.
- Ensures the safety and security of all guests and team members.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in written format with Team members and guests.
- The ability to interpret and follow instructions from technical manuals.
- The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
- The team member must be able to operate a personal computer system.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- A thorough knowledge of repair and maintenance procedures, slot machine installation, table games equipment repair, and maintenance.
- A thorough knowledge of casino management systems.
- Ability to consistently work with hand tools and electrical equipment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of casino technician experience and/or 2 years of related technician experience
- A related Associate’s Degree or technical certification
- 1-2 years supervisory experience
- Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust
- The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with assistance.
