Job SummaryAssists the physician in the performance of all cardiovascular procedures, demonstrating competency in all positions (scrub, monitor, and float). Analyzes and interprets procedural data and provides effective patient care at all acuity levels. Assists in precepting new employees and students to the department’s organization and function. Maintains inventory and charges appropriately for procedures. Performs all procedures per protocol, participates in quality assurance and performance improvement programs, and fulfills call coverage requirements.

Competency:
Demonstrate general competency in providing age‑appropriate care, planning, delivering, and evaluating care based on the physiological, psychosocial, intellectual, and safety developmental needs of the patient. - Utilize appropriate processes and documents in accordance with TJC and other regulatory standards for each patient admitted, transferred, or discharged for the invasive procedural area.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Function in all roles (scrub, monitor, and circulate).
- Act as a qualified team member (QTM) in the administration of moderate sedation under the direct supervision of the physician where applicable.
- Provide care in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Administer medications, contrast, or start IVs as directed by the physician or nurse per orders. Provide IV fluids under physician or nurse direction as indicated by the patient's condition and physician orders.

Education- High School Diploma (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire; must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; ACLS or PALS required based on specialty assignment)
