Paramount Health and Wellness PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team. This role is essential in supporting healthcare providers, ensuring seamless patient care, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) while upholding HIPAA compliance.
- Greet and prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and professionalism.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient concerns.
- Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory testing.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, follow-ups, and appointment reminders.
- Manage front-office tasks such as answering phones, verifying insurance, and processing documentation.
- Educate patients on prescribed medications, treatments, and preventive care.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred. - Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is a plus.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care.
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures, terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Experience in primary care, family practice, or outpatient clinics.
- Familiarity with telemedicine workflows and hybrid care models.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
