IT Analyst Lead
Trace Systems is looking for an IT Analyst Lead for our Enterprise Services Group in Portsmouth, Virginia.
ResponsibilitiesAs the IT Analyst Lead, you will be part of a dynamic team delivering innovative technology solutions in a high-impact environment. You will serve as a key connector of a strategic technology roadmap, and deliver solutions for our military contracts.
- Installing network equipment, hardware, and software including switches, routers, cabinets, and infrastructure to support these devices.
- Developing, designing, documenting, maintaining, evaluating, supporting and providing problem resolution for computer and IT systems applications across the systems development lifecycle to include IT Portfolio Management.
- Maintenance or development of software/database programs/applications or demonstrated ability in installation, set‑up and operation of computer systems applicable to networks.
- Supporting assessments of organization’s challenges using specialized skills and knowledge; contributing to the execution of project or task plan and assessing the impact of industry trends, policy or standard methodologies.
- Conducting activities in support of the project team’s objectives.
- Trained and qualified to operate aerial work platforms and scissor lifts for cabling and conduit installations; operation of lifts 60–120 feet required in the controlled industrial area.
- Ability to move and maneuver up to 50 pounds of weight (computer hardware, accessories, support equipment, etc.).
- Knowledge of software applications that support service desk operations (e.g. caller ticket documentation application).
- Knowledge and proficiency to work with test equipment such as Fluke Fiber Test/Certification Kits, DTX Cable Analyzer Series, Agilent Pro Fiber Test/Certification Kits, Noyes OTDR Fiber Test/Certification Kits, Fluke CAT5e/6 Test/Certification Kits.
- Knowledge and proficiency to work with hardware and software including:
- Network switches:
Cisco Nexus 3000/5000/7000, Cisco Catalyst series; routers:
Cisco 2800, 2900, 6500, 7600;
McAfee Firewall Enterprise;
Cisco SACS appliance 3415;
Cisco WIPS;
Aruba wireless networks;
Air Tight devices;
Juniper encryptors;
External DNS; F5 BigIP. - Software:
Windows OS, UNIX/Linux OS, SQL Server 2008/2012, Cisco Secure Access Control System 5.4, Splunk, Solar Winds, Cisco ISE, AutoCAD. - Wireless network hardware/software:
Aruba AP/WIDS 125/134/135/175, Aruba Controllers 6000/3000, Air Tight devices, Aruba Airwave Management Platform.
- Network switches:
- Active, in‑scope US Government Secret clearance with Tier 5 investigation.
- US Citizenship required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in NGEN/NMCI networks and installation and configuration of networks.
- IAT‑I compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline AND at least 3 years of experience as described above; OR five (5) years of relevant experience.
