• MMC Cardiovascular Intensive Care is a 5‑bed unit caring for cardiac patients. We offer great team and manager support along with a firm foundation of cardiac knowledge especially for intensive care nursing.
• The team utilizes cutting‑edge technology and comprehensive care plans to treat patients.
• Nurses working CVT ICU gain valuable experience and nursing skills for complex cardiac patients.

The CVT ICU (Critical Care) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
• Determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs.
• Implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care.
• Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessment, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate and decisive evidence‑based, patient‑focused action using clinical judgement and clinical inquiry.
• Anticipate and respond with confidence and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (preferred, not required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months of hire

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)
