Overview
The Lead Instructor will design and deliver courses, develop syllabi, manage lab instruction, and supervise students in both classroom and lab settings. You will prepare and oversee online instructional delivery, collaborate on program expansion through new certifications and continuing education, and maintain effective relationships with community and industry partners. Additional responsibilities include ensuring HVAC lab equipment is maintained and supporting recruitment efforts to strengthen the program.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver HVAC courses; develop syllabi and course outlines.
- Manage lab instruction and supervise students in classroom and lab settings.
- Prepare and oversee online instructional delivery.
- Collaborate on program expansion through new certifications and continuing education.
- Maintain effective relationships with community and industry partners.
- Ensure HVAC lab equipment is maintained.
- Support recruitment efforts to strengthen the program.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to deliver engaging instruction.
- Solid understanding of HVAC trade laws in Idaho and neighboring states.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong organizational skills.
- Ability to foster positive working relationships with students, faculty, and community partners.
- Ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a passion for teaching and supports a positive learning environment.
- Three years full-time equivalent experience as an HVAC Journeyman.
- Active Journeyman HVAC license in the State of Idaho required.
- Ability to attain Quality Matters (APPQMR) certificate within six months of hire.
