North Idaho College is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Plumbing Instructor to help shape the future of the skilled trades through our Workforce Training Center. This role is ideal for a plumbing professional who is passionate about teaching, mentoring apprentices, and strengthening the regional workforce.

In this position, you’ll lead instruction for multiple sections of the Plumbing Apprenticeship program and related continuing education offerings. You’ll supervise students in the lab, manage online and correspondence course delivery, and maintain a safe, well‑equipped learning environment.

Working closely with the Apprenticeship Manager, you’ll help expand programming through new certifications, CEUs, and test‑preparation courses, support instructor hiring and mentorship, participate in advisory board meetings, and engage in student recruitment and community partnerships.

We’re looking for someone with deep knowledge of the plumbing trade and the laws governing it in Idaho and neighboring states, along with strong instructional and presentation skills. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, builds positive relationships with students and colleagues, and brings an organized, solutions‑focused approach to program coordination. Comfort using common office and learning technologies, a commitment to professional development, and enthusiasm for supporting apprentices at all stages of their journey are essential.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends and a collaborative, service‑oriented mindset will help ensure continued program success.
