SURGICAL TECHNICIAN (PRN) - SURGERY CENTER OPERATING ROOM

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail oriented Surgical Tech to join our Surgery Center Team!

Position: likely one shift a week; our Surgery Center handles same‑day surgeries in a fast‑paced environment with two ORs. We perform surgeries across a range of specialties including orthopedics, spine, gynecological, ENT, plastic, digestive, bariatric, and general surgery. The schedule runs Monday–Friday with minimal on‑call.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Manager and direction of Registered Nurses, you will:

  • Perform scrubbing and assist the surgical team within and support the sterile field during operative procedures.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation and equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, instruments, armamentarium, procedures, implants and supplies used in the operating room.
  • Work under pressure in situations that demand patience, tact, stamina and endurance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate ST program, CST certification or documented performance in role.
  • Must be able to achieve BLS certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
  • Willingness to participate in goal‑setting and educational activities for own professional advancement.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
