PATIENT REGISTRAR (PRN) - URGENT CARE POST FALLS

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail‑oriented, customer service‑focused Patient Registrar to join our Post Falls Urgent Care Team! This position will likely be one shift a week and has a rotating schedule, including weekends (weekend hours qualify for a $2.50 differential per hour). We need someone with a professional demeanor, able to work well under stress, provide great customer service, and multitask.

  • Perform registration and pre‑registration functions to ensure smooth transition of patients through required services.
  • Prepare pre‑registration packets appropriate for each procedure.
  • Ensure documents are obtained to facilitate billing and collections processes.
  • Process co‑payments and payments; register patients and update medical records.
  • Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Perform nightly closing procedures for clinic.
  • Call patients for pre‑registration notification including copays and deductibles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And

Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Customer service background
  • Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred
