The Production Materials Coordinator (PMC) is an intermediate level position requiring a thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and movement of materials. This role requires an understanding of the technical aspects of the job and their practical application to problems and situations. The PMC will work with all departments to organize finished products, including assisting with final packaging, and deliver product to destinations within the facility.

This position will also assist with setup, recovery, and replenishment of the production lines, loading and unloading of trucks and distribution of materials. Supervision is limited on routine work with general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments.

Primary

Job Responsibilities
  • Load and unload material onto/off of trucks.
  • Review production orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
  • Distribute materials to the correct production lines.
  • Track delivery of materials, supplies and equipment where needed.
  • Manage, maintain and stock keep-fill areas and supermarkets with correct materials.
  • Operation of pallet jacks, WAVs, forklifts and dock levelers as required.
  • Work independently and follow set schedules and instructions.
  • Cross-Department Assistance
    • Prepare kits and pallets for final shipment or storage.
    • Assist with final packaging of finished product.
    • Communicate with Line Leads, Supervisors and Managers regarding quality and production schedules.
    • Cross train with Production Control, Warehouse and Shipping departments to assist with coverage and advancement opportunities.
    • Participate in production cleanup activities.
    • Assist with additional tasks, as assigned.
  • Performs a variety of assembly operations using drawings, schematics, and BOMs to assemble modules, boards, panels and cables to completion.
  • Works with Quality and Safety team to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with environmental and safety policies and regulations, enduring duties of high-quality standards.
  • Responsible for quality as related to job duties with the authority to address issues of quality at any level.
  • Operate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System.
Job Requirements
  • Education/Certificates
    • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Technical Requirements
    • Ability to understand assembly prints and drawings.
    • Ability to use hand tools such as drills, needle nose pliers, de-soldering tools, tweezers, brushes, screwdrivers, clippers and wire strippers.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and pick up new information and skills quickly.
    • Able to complete certification and operate WAVs, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
    • Willing to go above and beyond to meet the business and customer needs.
    • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office knowledge required.
    • Prior SAP experience preferred.
  • PPE Requirements
    • Safety toe footwear meeting ASTM 2413-18 standards required.
    • Additional PPE may be required depending on specific assignment.
Physical Demands
  • Employee is frequently required to stand and walk, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls.
  • Occasionally required to sit, and may be required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., consolidate pallets and pull loads on a pallet jack.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $19.00-$19.00/hr.
