REGISTERED NURSE (RN) (NIGHTS) - INPATIENT (PRN)
Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate, patient‑focused RN to join its Inpatient Unit on a PRN basis (typically one shift per week). The unit contains 28 beds; the typical patient‑to‑nurse ratio is 4:1, varying with department needs. The RN will direct and provide professional nursing care, use the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and perform duties such as delegating assignments, preparing schedules, overseeing admissions and discharges, and monitoring and ordering medications and supplies.
Responsibilities- Direct and provide professional nursing care for patients in a fast‑paced 28‑bed inpatient unit.
- Apply the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to care plans.
- Delegate nursing assignments and prepare schedules.
- Oversee patient admissions and discharges.
- Monitor and order medications and supplies as needed.
- Previous nursing experience strongly preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho.
- BSN strongly preferred.
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- ACLS certification within six months of employment.
- PALS certification within six months of employment.
- Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care.
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
- Awareness of professional nursing standards and adherence to them.
