Early Childhood and Development Coach

Full-time Regular, located in Poteau, OK. The position works in partnership with the Manager, Education and Inclusion to provide technical assistance, oversight and support to Head Start and/or Early Head Start programs.

Provide early childhood technical assistance, manage program implementation, and consult on Head Start Program Performance Standards. Protect children and families, uphold Save the Children values of accountability, ambition, collaborations, creativity and integrity.

• Work closely with the Manager, Education and Inclusion and Program Director to assess education staff and identify needs for coaching.
• Ensure teacher practices align with program performance goals.
• Execute intensive coaching, observe staff, and provide feedback.
• Offer other research‑based professional development for staff not needing intensive coaching.
• Establish policies that use assessment results for improvement, not punitive action.
• Maintain communication among Program Director, Manager, and staff.
• Ensure classroom supplies, schedules, and activities are age‑appropriate.
• Attend home visits, parent conferences, and IEP/IFSP meetings as needed.
• Visit classrooms 4‑6 hours/month to conduct observations (including CLASS); provide training and coaching.
