Potomac Glen Day School in Potomac, Maryland is seeking energetic teachers to join a team of dedicated teachers for the 2025-26 school year. Responsibilities And Duties
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and PGDS Standards.
  • Facilitate various activities for children including songs, games and storytelling.
  • Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills.
  • Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals.
  • Provide basic needs for children.
  • Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
  • Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social and physical development.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
  • Attend all staff meetings, team meetings and teacher duties as required.
  • Confer with parents or guardians, teachers, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioral and academic concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior, including discretion, judgment and integrity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, teaching certificate or credential or equivalent professional experience which would translate to successful classroom teaching.
  • Experience teaching young children and solid understanding of child development.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all constituents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • All prospective employees must be able to clear a background check.
