DescriptionConnelly School of the Holy Child is seeking a dedicated Upper School Science and Physics Teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the school year. - Upper School Science Teacher, teaching primarily Physics and additional related science/math course(s), while fostering a challenging and engaging classroom environment.
- Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program.
- Collaborate with faculty members to enhance the curriculum and student learning experiences.
- Maintain an active commitment to professional development and contributions to school community through committees and student life activities.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Science Education, or a related field with teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Teacher preparation program, minor in education, or certification preferred.
- Strong commitment to inquiry-based learning and laboratory investigations.
- Knowledge of best practices and strategies to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills among students.
- Familiarity with Next Generation Science Standards and their application in teaching.
- Ability to inspire curiosity and a deeper understanding of the physical sciences in students.
- Commitment to embrace the school’s mission and values, with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.

Pay is commensurate with education and experience, and is calculated according to a school-wide pay scale. ($47,600 - $100,611)
