Substitute School Nurse; On-Call

Overview

McLean School, a supportive and inclusive K–12 community with campuses in Potomac, Maryland (one mile apart), is seeking a compassionate and skilled Substitute School Nurse to join our health team immediately on an as-needed basis during the  school year.

• Providing first aid and attentive nursing care to students and faculty/staff throughout the school day
• Administering medications safely in accordance with Physician Orders and School Policy
• Documenting visits and treatments using Magnus Health, our electronic medical record system
• Partnering with students, families, and faculty/staff to promote student well-being and readiness to learn
• Managing the Health Room independently with professionalism, warmth, and calm under pressure

• Experience in pediatric or school nursing is welcomed; ability to bring clinical expertise and a caring, approachable presence

Compensation: $70.00–$85.00 per hour, based on experience.
