Service Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Part Time Service Advisor to join a busy, well-established service department in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

Competitive basic salary of £18,000 per year (pro rata)
Working pattern: 8am to 2pm Monday, and 9am to 2pm Tuesday to Friday

Duties of the Service Advisor:

Greet customers and book vehicles in for servicing, repairs and inspections
Advise customers on recommended work, maintaining clear and accurate communication throughout
Raise and progress service jobs, ensuring estimates, authorisations and labour times are managed correctly
Liaise with the workshop team to track progress and confirm completion times
Maintain accurate records on job progress, customer updates and service documentation
Handle customer queries promptly, professionally and in line with company standards

Requirements of the Service Advisor:

Experience as a Service Advisor within a franchised dealer, independent garage or similar environment
Strong customer service skills with the confidence to communicate clearly and professionally
Solid administration ability, including accurate completion of job cards and service documentation
Good understanding of service processes, estimates and authorisation procedures
Reliable, proactive approach with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
