Reception Class Teacher – Maternity Cover, full-time starting October 2026
Our client is a well-established primary school in Potters Bar, catering for children aged 3–11
. In its most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was judged Good across all areas, including Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, and Early Years Provision

Duties as a Reception Class Teacher:- Planning and delivering high-quality EYFS learning opportunities
- Creating a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment
- Supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development
- Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within EYFS or Reception
- Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
