SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term roles starting as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings in Potters Bar and the surrounding areas.
Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD and SLD
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual support plans
- Encourage pupil engagement and participation in learning activities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
- Has experience supporting children with SEND in educational settings
- Demonstrates resilience, empathy and a calm approach to challenging behaviour
- Is confident working independently and as part of a team
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is committed to promoting pupil well-being and progress
