POSITION GOAL:
Provide swim lessons/ private or group to children of all levels and abilities based on the curriculum provided.

• The swim instructor is responsible for instructing all swim lesson participants
• This position is also responsible for the safety of the participant in their own group
• Work hours as scheduled which includes arriving 5 minutes prior to the lesson start time
• Instructs and evaluates students participating in swim lessons
• Submits completed time on time
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
• Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
• All other duties as assigned and appropriate.

To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED
• Ability to positively interact with the general public.
• Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
• Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

Days and times vary

Starting Rate- $17.00 per hour, Instructor; $15.00 per hour Assistant; $13.50 per hour Aide

Salary and benefits according to the negotiated agreement between the Board of School Directors
