What We Are Looking ForYW3CA seeks a collaborative, motivated Educator to lead youth- and family-focused direct-service programming, support administrative communications, and meet budgetary and fiscal program needs. The ideal candidate promotes holistic education, fosters social-emotional curiosity, engages families, and advances enrollment while partnering with YEP Lead Educators to deliver high-quality, grant-compliant programming.
What You’ll Be Doing- Collaborate with the Youth Education & Prevention team to develop a programming calendar aligned with grant deliverables.
- Address student and family challenges to inform new offerings and strengthen community support.
- Support YEP team in all programming needs.
- Build relationships with families to boost program attendance and understanding of services.
- Plan and deliver lesson plans that comply with YWCA’s mission-focused framework and evidence-based curriculum best practices.
- Manage resources effectively for fiscal and grant deliverables.
- Deliver and facilitate evidence-based curriculums, assess data, maintain attendance, report requirements, lesson plans, schedules, and grant reports.
- Participate in project development that aligns with the mission and reinforces essential agency tenets.
- Model best practices for youth, maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Communicate with participants, families, and schools/communities as directed.
- Create social media campaigns that highlight YEP programming.
- Plan and participate in YEP department and community-focused special events.
- Other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations.

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with solution-based teamwork.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Understanding of YWCA’s mission, goals, and objectives; ability to work independently with high energy.
- Outstanding oral, written, and computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by compassionate, courteous, cordial, cooperative, and professional interaction with diverse groups.
- Desire to navigate and learn the community online footprint, network, and connect with partners.
- Positive attitude and excitement to work directly with youth.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver under pressure.
- Growth mindset oriented toward learning new skills, even when challenging.
- Ability to identify/redirect inappropriate behaviors and react tactfully while enforcing regulations impartially.
- Knowledge of basic classroom management procedures.
- Willingness to be flexible as necessary to support a variety of YW3CA.
- Ability to work with parents and families in the community.
- Understanding of diverse family dynamics and cultural differences; knowledge and sensitivity to issues facing the community served.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in youth development and program facilitation.
- Familiarity with trauma-responsive approaches preferred.
- Familiarity with SEL, health & wellness, racial and social justice, STEAM, career exploration, indoor & outdoor recreation, family engagement, out-of-school time programming for youth and communities preferred.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office suite experience required.
- Must pass background checks required by YW’s Early Education Center license and local public school districts.
- Current health assessment and TB test.
