Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, and developing manufacturing technologies that enable Micro‑Coax to achieve its Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
Essential Job Functions- Design tooling and equipment using Solid Works CAD software; manage and operate 3D printing technology
- Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, software, and automation systems for semi‑rigid and flexible cable assemblies
- Collaborate with other engineering groups (Design, Product, Automation) and cross‑functional teams to ensure systems and programs meet intended specifications
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing capabilities and/or reduce costs and waste through improved techniques, tooling or automation
- Research, test, and implement new technologies to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets and provide the factory with superior capabilities
- Establish standard work procedures for manufacturing and support processes to ensure consistent production guidance and mitigate risks related to safety, quality, and downtime
- Plan, design, and procure capital equipment for purchase or internal development to automate manufacturing and supporting processes
- Develop justifications and complete ACE (Approval for Capital Expense) documentation for equipment purchases
- Other duties as required in support of the department and the company
The responsibilities of this role do not include supervising other employees; however, Manufacturing Engineer positions offer opportunities for career advancement.

Education- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 02 years of relevant experience; prior engineering co‑op experience is a plus
- Ability to perform daily responsibilities independently after training, with guidance on complex projects as needed
- Strong collaboration skills to participate in and provide input to cross‑functional project teams
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Proficiency in Solid Works CAD modeling software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and advise cross‑functional project teams effectively
- Experience in manufacturing within a custom, make‑to‑order environment
- Strong ability to explain complex operations and methods clearly and concisely to other employees, suppliers, and customers
- Demonstrates accountability by accepting responsibility for actions and meeting project deliverables and goals
As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements- ASTM F, ANSI Z411999, or ANSI Z411991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas

- Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas
