Position SummaryThe Case Manager is responsible for the delivery of case management services to unaccompanied children (UC) in care. This includes contacting and locating sponsors, facilitating the reunification process with UC sponsors—traveling to various locations in the U.S.—, contributing to treatment plan development, completing UC portal documentation, and maintaining both paper and electronic records. The manager may attend immigration court with UC and conduct safe, timely releases, verify relationships, and ensure household safety prior to discharge.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Work with the child and the child’s family/sponsor to locate family members and assess potential sponsors, helping to reunite the child with their family.
- Provide culturally sensitive support, respecting each child’s ethnic heritage and values.
- Assess the needs of each unaccompanied child in care, develop an Individual Service Plan, and facilitate a safe and timely release or discharge, in collaboration with the clinician.
- Coordinate conference calls and family visits in partnership with the clinician, scheduling them per team plans.
- Maintain case files for each caseload, documenting all services provided while ensuring compliance with the ORR/UAC database.
- Complete initial intake, assessments, case reviews, and weekly case notes to meet program and ORR deadlines.
- Collaborate with the clinician on evaluations, team recommendations, and safety planning.
- Work effectively with internal teams and external entities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team conferences and meetings.
- Coordinate discharge or transfer of each child, including post‑release services.
- Report and discuss cases with third‑party reviewers, clinical staff, and Federal Field Specialists.
- Engage in continued professional development through seminars, conferences, workshops, or advanced study.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9 am–5 pm;
Tuesday/Thursday 10 am–6 pm;
Saturday–Sunday off; rotating on‑call responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, or a related field.
- Relevant child welfare and/or case management experience.
- New York State driver’s license in good standing.
- Master’s degree in psychology, human services, or a related field.
- Additional child welfare and/or case management experience.
