The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking a Supervisor to work in our Long Term Foster Care Program.

The Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of staff on their unit, supervising the children, overseeing daily living activities and routines of the unit, maintaining documentation and caring for the physical unit. The Supervisor ensures that agency standards are met, including the quality of activities, and that interactions between adults and children are positive and conducive to meeting unit care/monitoring goals.

The Supervisor maintains oversight of all unit activities and assigns tasks to staff as needed.

Wednesday through Saturday 12pm-10pm

• Associate’s Degree; minimum 2 years child care experience; experience beyond 2 years combined with a high school diploma or equivalent may be used to offset education requirements.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License with a good driving record as determined by the agency.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English and/or any other language as determined relevant to the UC population.
• Must be willing to travel within the U.S. if needed for child‑sponsor reunification.

• BA/BS Degree
• CPR and First Aid certificates
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer
